We are proud to introduce an high-end knife featuring Corsica island embossed into a forged and chiseled spring and a blade stop to keep a long last edge.
Customize your knife
Our specialty: Personalize your knife (first name, initials, date...) with a beautiful engraving of the spring produced by a professional engraver. The engraving is performed before the file work (guillochage) and the heat treatment.
Hand chiseled and forged spring
The bee is solid and forged into the spring. The spring and bee are then hand-chased with a file : This denotes artisan quality, unlike inexpensive mass market products that have welded springs and are machine decorated.
Stainless steel damascus blade
The Damascus steel we’re using is from Damasteel® and the patterns will last the life of the knife.
5 rings worm corkscew
The thin and tapered corkscrew "worm" opens easily. It is easy to use and does not swell the cork excessively.
Display box
Each knife is delivered in an elegant presentation box, designed to highlight its beauty and provide optimal protection. Give or receive our exceptional knives in a refined case that enhances every detail.
Corsica is a real land of knives since antiquity and the Corsican cutlery industry has become a real tradition.
There is no such thing as a "Corsican knife" but "Corsican knives"!
Like many farming areas, the Corsican knife was first and foremost a tool used by farmers for their daily work.
Since then, Corsican knives have followed their history with new models that combine tradition and modernity.
In the Fontenille Pataud workshop, our craftsmen traditionally handmade outstanding knives for several generations, as usual in the city of Thiers. Each one of our knifemakers hopes to create especially for you a sustainable product that will become your every day to carry.
We are proud to say that our knives are handed down and offered from generation to generation, such as the Vendetta knife, which features a forged bee and a hand chiseled spring. Much more than knives, our Vendetta made in France are true life partners.
Technical details
The typical Corsican knife, proudly made with Zuria brothers, Corsican knife makers from Bonifacio (southern Corsica).
The "Guillochée" range is superior: in addition to the classic finish, the plates are chiselled.
Handle: Buffalo black horn tip; we don't use the cheap hollow "genuine" horn.
Blade: "Rose" stainless Damascus steel 3 mm thick. Hardness: 60 Hrc.
Size & weight: 12cm folded, 21.5 cm open, approx 130 g.
Spring & bladestop: The spring is made from a 3mm thick stainless steel Z20c13. A solid bladestop is provided on all of our springs: that shall keep a long time the edge of the blade. Instead of the traditional solid bee and forged into the spring you'll see the embossing of the Corsica Island. The whole spring is hand chased with a file.

Assembling: traditional hand made nickelsilver rivets.
