The Laguiole Sport knife was created in 2003 with Robert Beillonnet, awarded best French knife maker in 1997 and 2000. This Sport Laguiole knife is from far the best large Laguiole locking blade of the market. Its solid 3.50mm thick blade is safely locked while using, thanks to its precision mechanism. A solid blade stop is provided to hold a long life edge. A nice horizontal-vertical wearing leather sheath with a sharpener (both made in France) is included.

Handle: 1st quality buffalo black horn tip; we do not use the cheap "genuine" hollow horn. Traditional Shepherd's cross inlayed.

Blade: Stainless Swedish 14C28N steel, 3.50 mm thick. Hardness: 58-59 Hrc.

Size and weight: 13cm folded, 23cm open, approx. 200 grams.

Tecnical tips: The 'Bee' spring with its lock-back system is made from 3.50 mm thick stainless steel Z20c13. A solid hardenned bladestop is provided: that helps maintain the edge of the blade. The traditional bee is solid and forged into the spring. The spring and bee are then hand-chased with a file: this denotes artisan quality, unlike inexpensive mass market products that have welded springs and are machine decorated. These details create a unique Laguiole knife, making each knife one of a kind.

Included: Numbered Guarantee certificate, fine belt leather sheath & sharpenner. The sheath is an artisan product too, hand made in France with finest thick and soft leather. It is comfortable to wear, even when you're driving.

Customers testimonials

My Laguiole arrived today and it is a real work of art, which I will treasure and eventually pass down to my son (not too soon I hope) One day I hope I will be in a position to buy a Damascus version.
