Lock-back sytem
Its solid blade is safely locked while using, thanks to its precision mechanism, in addition this mechanism provides smoothness while using.
Good handle/blade balance
To obtain a good handle/blade balance, a groove is milled in the back of the spring allowing the blade to fold in.
Fontenille-Pataud was founded in 1929. It quickly became recognized as a manufacturer of high-end table knives. They were admired and revered for their expertise and use of ivory, horn and other fine wood.

Handle: Full ebony handle with mother-of-pearl and brass wire inlays like a space decor.
Blade: Stainless swedish 14C28N steel, 3 mm thick. Hardness: 58-59 Hrc. In order to provide a comfortable balance and a nicer knife, the blade tip folds into a groove which is milled into the spring.
Weight & Size: 12cm folded, 21.5cm open, approx. 90g.
Spring: The spring is made from a 3mm thick stainless steel Z20c13. A solid bladestop is provided on all of our springs: that shall keep a long time the edge of the blade.
Plates: 1,2mm thick stainless steel with 2 solid bolsters. You can also choose brass (see options) at the same price.
Assembling: Traditional & handmade with stainless rivets.
Included: Numbered guarantee certificate, leather pouch handmade in France.
